Terms and Conditions

This policy outlines the DSLRoot terms and conditions of usage. By signing up with and/or utilizing any DSLRoot service, you agree to be bound by the following terms of this document and the terms of the other named policies included herein by reference and to keep updated on changes as these policies may change at any time.

Reasonable Use Policy:
DSLRoot desires all members reasonably use its service. To that end, any customer who puts unreasonable demands upon the service may be curtailed in order to ensure the best possible service for all members.

If a member appears to be unable to maintain a reasonable use of the service, DSLRoot may cancel, suspend or decline to renew service for that member without notice. It is within DSLRoot’s sole discretion to determine what comprises unreasonable use.

Individual DSLRoot Accounts:
DSLRoot accounts are not dedicated connections and are subject to timing out the connection. DSLRoot accounts are for single user, individual use only. Any non-individual use, or any use that is indistinguishable from non-individual use, is prohibited. For example, the following uses are prohibited under this section:

Sharing a login between people Simultaneous logins from multiple IP addresses

Prohibited Activities:
DSLRoot prohibits the use of any of its services in any of the following ways:
- Spamming (e-mail, Usenet, message boards, etc.) - Copyright, trademark, and patent infringement. - Defamatory or abusive language - IP Spoofing - Illegal or unauthorized access to other computers or networks - Distribution of Internet viruses, worms or other destructive activities - Export control violations - All other illegal activities - Controversial and Explicit Material

We cannot be and are not responsible for the contents of any of your communications through any DSLRoot service. The Internet is a large community that regards censorship as worse than obscenity. Through the use of DSLRoot services, you will have access to and you will at some time or another become exposed to materials that you may find offensive. Such materials include sexually explicit text and images, pro-religious and anti-religious debate, questionable political views, and hateful speech. DSLRoot expressly disclaims liability for any harm resulting from encountering such material.

Software and Updates:
Some use of our services requires you to download a client software package (“Software”). DSLRoot hereby grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the Software, solely to access the services. Your license to use the Software is automatically revoked if you violate these terms and conditions. We hereby reserve all rights not expressly granted in these terms and conditions. You must not reverse engineer or decompile the Software, nor attempt to do so, nor assist anyone else to do so. DSLRoot may update the Software on your device automatically when a new version is available.

More About Copyright Infringement:
DSLRoot takes copyright and other intellectual property rights very seriously, and we encourage you to do the same. You are responsible for determining the legal status of any intellectual property you use or copy through any DSLRoot service. DSLRoot cannot and does not review the information flowing through its services. You agree to not transfer copyrighted works through the service without the express permission of the copyright holder.

More About Illegal Activities:
We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement agencies who are investigating criminal activities from abusive web proxy users.

Indemnify and Hold Harmless:
You are responsible for all actions that occur regarding your account. As a condition of service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DSLRoot, its officers, employees, agents, shareholders and partners for any cause of action out of your account with use or your use of the service.

Refund Policy:
No refunds will be considered for accounts deleted for violation of our Terms of Service.

Termination of Service:
DSLRoot reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason.

Billing:
Your service will automatically be renewed at the end of each service period, repeating the length of the previous service period, unless you cancel. You can upgrade your service, downgrade your service, or cancel your service by contacting our Support Department.

All accounts are renewed automatically until a cancellation request is received.

Cancellation:
Service cancellations must be entered prior to the end of the current service period in order for them to take effect before the service’s next renewal. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the service period in which they are submitted. Services renew at or shortly after 12:00 AM midnight, US Central Time, on their renewal date.

Policy Changes:
DSLRoot reserves the right to revise, supplement or rescind any of our policies or terms of service at any time, without prior notice. It is the member’s sole responsibility to remain informed of our current Terms of Service including all other named policies included by reference therein.

Acceptance of Terms:
By logging in to any DSLRoot service, you agree to the DSLRoot Terms of Service including all other policies incorporated by reference.
